Fun & Quirky Gifts & Printables for Wine Lovers

Can you believe Christmas is coming … I don’t even want to count the weeks, days etc. time just seems to be escaping.

The kids have only gone back to school, and I’m not quite sure where the summer holidays went and now we have to think about Christmas!

This is one of the reasons, I love writing my blog! When we think about how fast time is passing us by, it’s a reminder to stop and take a breath. Enjoying each day is what matters.

With this in mind … enjoying each day with a glass of wine is how some people like to roll! Not that I’m encouraging this behaviour, but as a wine-lover, (yes we can still be spiritual etc. and enjoy the flavours of alcohol-fuelled grapes), there’s something fun about receiving a wine-related gift.

So do you have a family member or friend who would relish, or find it fun, to recieve a quirky wine-related gift?

WORLD LAUGHTER DAY! Surround yourself with fun & quirky quotes to help keep you laughing!

Yes, there is such a thing as World Laughter Day. It is celebrated worldwide on the first Sunday of May every year. It was created by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1998 in Mumbai, India.

Dr.Madam Kataria founded the Yoga Laughter Movement. The idea to bring positivity, peace and unity across the globe, to connect with each other through laughter. Did you realise there are thousands of laughter clubs across 105 countries?

How awesome is this guy? Creating such an awesome day and spreading the love of laughter to so many people.

There’s so much sadness in the world, so to focus on laughter can bring so much joy to us. Laughing your way through problems can be the easiest way to overcome them. Joining others on their laughter mission could be just what you need. Yes, this can be easier said than done, but Dr. Madan Kataria has created tools you can use that will help.

In my research, of this awesome day, I found his online laughter university … I encourage you to take a look.

Imagine being surrounded by people who are happy. I understand that laughter or a smile doesn’t always mean happiness, but even faking it can make you feel better. Faking it until you feel it within. You will eventually feel that happiness and joy.

You can read my previous post on Laughter, participate in the therapeutic writing exercise and task. Find something to laugh about and spread this love to everyone.

This month I’ve added 10 downloadable funny and quirky quotes to my online shop. You can spread the joy throughout your home or workplace; a little reminder that laughter is so important.

The following prints come in a package for £9.99, which is less than £1 per print. You can print, frame for your home or as gifts for friends.

Quotes To Show You, Laughter Will Keep You Young

Are you having enough laughter in your life?

In my previous post that I shared on laughter, I shared an article that research had shown how laughter is extremely good for us. Laughter is one of the best forms of releasing built-up anxiety and stress. Often if we’re not in a good place, the last thing we want to do is laugh. However, if we can bring ourselves out of the comfort zone of worrying and bring some lightness into our lives, you will see how laughter can help with lifting your worries.

I love this blog post by Thomas Flindt; he talks about his laughter classes and reasons why we stop laughing as we grow older.

The sound of children laughing is one of the best sounds. I love listening to my daughters playing and something setting them off laughing. Plus, they both have a way of trying to tell me a funny story, but can’t get their words out because the laughter has kicked in, this in itself makes me laugh. I truly appreciate those times and we relish in them together.

In my previous post on laughter you can take part in the therapeutic writing exercise. Ask yourself are you laughing enough? Plus, you’ll find more quotes, tips and advice on bringing more laughter into your life.

So as promised, here’s some awesome quotes to encourage more laughter into your life.

You can even visit my shop and purchase the quotes below … surround yourself with positive and fulfilling thoughts.

Remember, laughter will keep you young. So surround yourself with wonderful quotes that will help lift your spirits and remind you to look on the brighter side of life.

‘Positive messages throughout the day keep the negative thoughts away.’

Love & happiness to you always

North East Ladies Day – Fab Day Out!

drinkingchampagne

I’m not sure about all you other ladies out there, but I love a great day out with my girlie friends. (We just don’t do it often enough!)

Well, last week, I had the pleasure of being invited to The North East Ladies Day (NELD), by Janice Auton, Director of Not Just Any Wedding and Poppys Hairdressing.  A huge thank you to Janice. I had a great time and met some lovely people.

What a fantastic afternoon out at Hardwick Hall: champagne on arrival, wine on the tables, a gorgeous 3 course lunch, a fashion show by Joulani of Darlington and Jenny Eclair was a very funny guest speaker. All of this, plus the amazing charities that NELD raises money for. There were raffles and some fanastic Grand Draw prizes. In fact Val Boyers, who I’ve met several times and had the delight of sitting on the same table as, won a handbag worth over £100. Val is an amazing singer, and it was wonderful to hear her beautiful tones on arrival. Val is a lovely person, if anyone fancies live acoustic music for any occassion, Val is your lady. Such a gorgeous voice.

While there I thought, this is such a fab day out for a group of girlies. I was actually driving, (another blog post for another time – but I’ll tell you about my little September detox and how I’ve lost a stone through NOT drinking!!) so I couldn’t enjoy the wine that was on offer, however, I had such an uplifting fun time. I will definitely be getting a table next year with some of my girlie friends.

I mean, come on, what more do we want: an excuse to get dressed-up, champagne, wine, good food and a good laugh … perfect.

Please check out The North East Ladies Day for 2014. Defo, worth thinking about for any occassion: hen-party, birthdays … or just because you can!
