Quotes To Help Jump Start Your Day

Are you jumping into your life? Or are you dragging through at snail pace?

Your morning alarm goes off … how do you respond? Snooze five million times until the last second hits you? Jump for joy at your wonderful day ahead? Or somewhere in-between?

My mornings vary between all three. Sometimes I snooze simply because I’ve worked late the night before (if this is the case, whatever my work was involving, blogging, creating workbooks, marketing, writing … whichever, I would have chosen to work late as I would have been thoroughly enjoying what I was doing). So even when I snooze, it’s a nice cosy feeling, it’s not a feeling of, ‘OMG, I CAN’T FACE THE DAY!’ It’s a feeling of, I’m so lucky, I get to grab an extra few minutes kip.

Sometimes life takes over and we forget there’s so much to be excited about. If you don’t feel this, then it’s time to create something to be excited about. Imagine the universe can deliver anything you want … ANYTHING! What would you jump out of bed for? What would really get your juices pumping? What would give you a reason to not press that snooze button, unless you felt lucky enough to just press it, because you can?

If you’d like to know more about how to jump into life and ignore the fear, you can read my blog post here. It also includes quotes, tips and a therapeutic writing exercise to help you take a leap of faith.

If you’d also like to surround yourself with quotes that will remind you to take the jump, you can visit my online shop for downloadable prints.

Live life to the fullest … do what you can with what you have … be grateful for all the opportunities that come your way … jump into the opportunities that serve you! Take the leap and have faith … if you don’t jump you’ll never know how close you were to making your dreams come true.

Ten Products That Will Help To Lift Your Positive Energy Levels

Are you struggling to keep your energy levels high?

Would you love to increase your energy levels to draw more positivity to you?

Depending on our environment, our circumstances or other external influences, our energy vibrations can vary. The key in life is to not let external ‘stuff’ affect your energy levels. I realise this is easier said than done. Especially if you’re an empath, like me. (Empaths feel people’s energy levels, they are sensitive to people’s vibrations … we often draw people to us who need to ‘talk’. I could tell you many stories from a relaxing spa day that turned into me counselling the beauty therapist, to the poor man whose wife had left him by text for his friend and he ended up in hospital – the latter I was simply stood outside a shop … this type of thing happens to me all the time. Rather than take the person’s energy, I give them some of my positive vibes. I always send them love and ask that a higher power guides and helps them.)

Feeling at peace with yourself is the best way to protect yourself from negative influences. There could be things going on in your life that you have no control over. If this is the case, choose your reaction towards it. Once you choose a positive reaction, think from a positive perspective you will see how your world will change. Protecting yourself helps to enhance your energy, this, in turn, vibrates onto others.

Before I show you some awesome products that will help your energy levels, don’t forget to check out my Etsy shop. You can download and print awesome quotes that will help you stay positive.

Below I’ve listed some awesome products that can help you, but before you look through them, why not try out the self-reflective therapeutic creative writing exercise, that will help you lift your energy levels.

How To Increase Your Positive Energy Levels Even When You’re Not Feeling The Vibe – A to Z Inspirational Blog; E is for Energy with Energy Quotes and Therapeutic Writing

A-Z Inspirational Journey

This week’s inspirational word

E IS FOR ENERGY

We can talk about fulfilling dreams and following passions, belief, being positive, be an inspiration, but if we don’t have the positive energy to do these things, we’re not going to get very far. If our mindset isn’t in the right place and we are literally fighting to get through our busy day, by the time the evening comes we are too tired to think about achieving our dreams. The energy we are emitting is being reflected back to us, so if you feel unenergised it’s time to look at ways to fill yourself with positive energy.

Energise You by Oliver Gray, gives the simplest solution to finding your energy for life:

There is a very simple formula for achieving great health, high energy and happiness

  • Consistently do more of the things that positively affect your health, energy and happiness.
  • Do less of the things that affect you negatively.

Simple right?

You’re probably thinking, well I know this, but I’m too tired and busy to think about doing more positive and less negative things. But imagine how wonderful it would be to feel completely energised daily. So many things affect our energy, from eating the wrong foods, to being in the wrong job or relationship, to the surroundings in which we live or work. Something as simple as a negative interaction throughout the day can send our vibrations soaring downwards, affecting our whole day … but my motto of, ‘Positive messages throughout the day, helps keep the negative thoughts away.’ If you can instil some positivity into your thoughts, your energy will lift. Once your energy has lifted, you will become motivated. Once you are motivated your energy vibrations will become higher.

Remember, small steps count, so rather than going fully in and changing everything at once, for example; say you need to lose weight and eat healthier, plus you hate your job, your relationship is at breaking point and you are generally at a point of despair … You’d be surprised how common this scenario is. These aspects all affect each other, if you’re unhappy with yourself, you project that out and you receive that negativity back.

So the aim is to become a bundle of high energy … you may be asking, ‘How?’

If you have several areas to change in your life, take one area at a time and focus on making changes to that particular area. For example, you could put a dietary and fitness plan in place, ensure it fits with your life and focus on not only becoming slimmer and healthier but focus on how this will affect other areas of your life. For example, once you start to see signs of your healthier happier body, you’ll have more energy. You’ll also have more confidence to go out there and get that new job. Your relationship will either naturally improve because you are happier, or you’ll make the decision that the relationship doesn’t make you happy and it is time to move on. I make this sound cut and dry … I realise it isn’t as simple as throwing together a blog post and these changes will happen overnight. If you’re not in the right frame of mind, it takes work to change those thoughts around, but I can assure you that positive thoughts will help raise your energy levels.

A great way to start raising your energy levels is with positive messages, instil positive thoughts throughout your day and then work on changing one aspect of your life, one day at a time. This time next year is coming, so start putting those plans in place. Imagine yourself in a happier place … your dreams, goals etc. may take longer than a year, but start on that journey and start to reap the rewards. The time is passing anyway, so do sometimes to increase your energy levels and start living a life of excitement, passion and fulfilment.

Self-Reflective Therapeutic Creative Writing Exercise

Using free writing, write down the things that you would change to enable you to become more positive. What do you feel is holding you back? Scribble down these thoughts, without analysing them, just write until you have allowed the words to be in front of you.

Read through them. Ask yourself what changes can you actually make.

Now write down what plans you can put in place, making one change at a time. Small steps count. Every step you take towards a higher energy vibration, the closer you are to uplifting your energy levels. The more you uplift your energy levels, the more positive energy you give out leading to a greater positive life.

Remember: Positive messages throughout the day, helps the negative thoughts stay away.

So be inspired daily with this

To drink or not to drink!

wine and tape measurephoto credit:www.cosmopolitan.com

In my last post, I mentioned I’d lost a stone in 3 weeks. I must admit, I am very pleased with myself. But not because of the stone (well, obviously that’s fantastic) but how I’ve lost it.

Now, this is where I admit I absolutely love wine! Not in an alcoholic way (well, maybe a little), but I love the 1st and 2nd glass the most, the sound of it swishing as it drops into the glass, the chilled feeling as it flows effortlessly down my throat and finally the ‘Aahh,’ sound I can’t help but air as my shoulders drop 2 inches. And also those cellars (just look at these at https://www.focuswinecellars.com/, amazing)!

Usually Friday and Saturday nights are my chilled vino time. However, when the kids are off school, this does admittedly creep into the weeknights too, plus the hot weather is so lovely but doesn’t help: sitting in the garden with a cider, shandy or a chilled glass of wine, is just perfect. So, I’m sure you can understand that I was mortified over the summer holidays when I put a stone on! The problem is I have more to worry about than the calories in the wine, because when I drink, I eat. I’m a savoury girlie: crisps, cheese sarnies with white bread and full-fat mayo and anything else that’s full of carbs … So, it’s quite understandable how this stone crept on in 6 weeks.

So, September came and I thought, I can’t continue like this, as on an average I could potentially put on at least 8 stone in a year! Not to even mention the health risks. So I decided to go totally cold turkey and not drink in September – well until last night (which I’ll tell you more about further down) – I’ve also introduced exercise into my routine, which I’m actually loving. I’ve been using a flabelos vibration plate (my good friend Rebecca has this in her home salon in Ingleby Barwick, so if you live near please do call/text on 07432147933 to find out more – it’s amazing). I’ve cut out all the rubbish, been eating very healthy and remember the GGS I told you about, that’s been my energy boost, as I was off caffeine until today! (Please read my past blog to find out more about GGS and how I learned to survive without caffeine, which used to be an essential part of my diet).

But yes, I’ll be honest I have found not drinking a struggle, but I’ve learned to find other mechanisms (such as exercise), and this makes me feel really good.

Anyway, so what happened last night? Well, I had a candle party, (if anyone is interested in holding a candle party, please visit www.tinabooth.partylite.co.uk/shop or phone Tina Booth on 07971 854881 – if you live out of the Teesside area, I’m sure Tina will point you in the right direction – gorgeous products, fab freebies for hostesses, all-in-all a great girlie night). There was laughter, wine, food and good company. So I decided that I deserved a glass or two of wine because I’d gone without for so long (well, long in my books). Unfortunately, although it didn’t feel so unfortuate last night, the one or two turned into about six, seven, eight, maybe more!

So, I awoke this morning (just!) thinking WHY? And I know many of you have been there before. And I have to ask, why do we do it?

The other problem with a hangover – because that’s exactly what this is – we then need stodge to keep us going throughout the day. So after the energy drink I downed after dropping the girls at school, I went through a litre of Pepsi Max, which I haven’t drank for months (so now I’ve broken the no calorie rule), and I’ve stuffed my face with crisps, chocolate and anything else that would make me feel better. But it hasn’t made me feel great but it has made me feel better than I would have felt without the help. But it’s a vicious cycle, isn’t it? Because now, although I feel very tired and wiped, I know the caffeine I’ve had will keep me awake tonight, so the best thing to do is have a few glasses of wine to help me sleep! I can now see how this cycle is so easy to get into, but with this in mind, I know that I can break it.

So I’m wondering if I can take my no drinking rule into October! I’ll keep you all posted. For anyone else out there who thinks they could do with cutting down on the alcoholic beverages, trust me, I really didn’t think the benefits would outway that 1st glass of wine … but the way I’m feeling today that can’t be the case 🙂 xx
